I hear Reaper has some varispeed plugin...can anyone tell me about it? Is it good/ useful...etc?

If you mean the ability to change the speed of the media file without changing the pitch, and all in real time.
Then yes, and it is unbelievably awesome as well as easy.
if you are talking about somthing else........ please explain.

Trailing Behind Again
What is the name of this plugin? I wanted something like that awhile ago with canned drum tracks and couldn't find anything useful. Of course I didn't have Reaper then...

It's not a plug-in, it's a function.
hold down ALT then stretch/squeeze the track with your mouse on the left or right side of the file (depending on how you need to manipulate the file).
by stretching i mean act as if you are going to loop a file, or edit the tale end of a guitar track that needed to stop at a certain time.
holding down ALT with change the normal function.
I had a client that came in just a little to late on a vocal part but caught up to the beat at the end of the phrase. He thought he would need to re-record that part.
I split that phrase from the track, kept the ending where it was, but then stretched the beginning to the left a little and lined it up with the kick.
You should have seen the look on his face! it was perfect, same pitch and everything.
I tried this in Pro-Tools, but i needed a certified letter from congress just to make it happen. Took less than a minute in Reaper.
