coolest cover shot...

has to be WACF i can remember when i was 13 and they actually had this in th window at th SKY CITY (defunct southern dept. store) it gets my vote for favorite album cover ...something else gone on away album covers ....btw guy in my band has some bootleg club stuff where M Anthony is singing way hi and off key but it was rockin in th moment i'm sure ...thats something i think gets overlooked too, Ed singing on VH III was not great ,BUT when i think of great backup singing VH is tops ....:D

Have you ever heard some of the original demos they cut w/ Gene Simmons? They are so raw and powerful that it just blows you away! It's cool to hear that stuff, and that's the thing I miss the most about Napster: finding stuff that artists have no intention of ever releasing or making money off of. To them it isn't valuable enough to bother with.
For example, have you ever heard Ozzy's version of "STaying Alive" by the Bee Gees? It's pretty cool.

I miss Napster.:(

Thanks Lars....Fuckhead!!!!!! :-(

I love Eddie Van Halen. He's the one who made all the tapping mainstream. Billy Sheehan was doing it in the early 70's But Eddie made it happen. All the Steve Via's, Yngw...how ever you spell his damn name, the Joe Satriani's, Eddie was the best. He has soul in his playing where as the other players are all focused on technique.
I like all the Roth era VH better, but the guy is a moron. They were a better band, in my opinion, with Sammy Hagar. Sammy's got the voice and he plays killer guitar as well. The music wasn't as good but Sammy is a better singer than Dave. I liked it when Sammy sang Roth songs, it was always cool. And, "Finish What'cha Started" is one of the best VH songs of all time, you've got to admit.
It was also cool of them to do Sammy songs as well. I mean, it is only fair, If Sammy is doing Roth songs, than VH can do Sammy songs.
I like Sammy Hagar. He had an awesome band that he gave up to join VH...and now he's doing it again. Roth also has a good band but he fires people all the time. His ego is too big and that's why VH can't stand him anymore. I tend to have a problem with egotistical front men who can't sing worth a shit!
But through my ramblings, Eddie is awesome, but don't forget about Mike and Alex!

I hear ya.

Will Eddie's son, Wolfgang will carry on the VH lagacy?

speaking of Sammy songs ...

"theres only one way to rock" only got better with eddie and th boys playing behind Sammy...imho....i have also said before maybe not here ,but you really ought to look at VH with Dave and Sammy as 2 separate bands ,i mean its hard in a way because the core is so overwhelming ,but it's no secret dave didn't like th keyboard stuff and edd didn't like th covers, and as we all grow older our views change its crazy to think that they'll still be doing th same things year after year i think dave wanted to be young eternally (and he's th oldest looking of all of them) Edd wanted to grow and love him or hate him for it ,he did what he wanted ....

For the Women and Children First album they also printed a music book.

I had one and it had some awesome pictures in it of them onstage, Eddie jumping off of Marshall cabinets stacked 4 high and all the way across the stage, then Dave guzzling a bottle of JD and doing a back flip.
