Figure someone here is probably a Van Halen fan (I'm not but I've always liked this track, probably because it has no vocals... ). Anyhow Van Halen is the Artist of the Month in May 2024 for the PRF Monthly Tribute Series, so I thought I'd give it a go over the weekend. Here is the result. Recorded between May 3rd/4th in Reaper 6.XX using my Jackson Dinky 7 String & Ibanez Ergodyne 5 String with ToneX v1.2.6 for all Guitar/Bass tones. Let me know what you think! I always dug this on the 1984 album, wished Van Halen would have done more darker heavier things like this instead of crappy covers like Pretty Women which this goes into on the album. Anyways, I dig your version, especially the guitar tones...nice and crisp , bass sounds great when it kicks in. Would like a little heavier drum sound. Maybe some of those weird Elephant noises/outer space sounds Ed would make on his guitar would be cool as well. Nice job enjoyed it

Sounds awesome. A bit lackluster, like maybe a noise in between a sports broadcast.
