Hello,
I've been playing guitar for a few years now, but I just started recording a couple of months ago. I am absolutely clueless and it's driving me crazy, so I thought I'd ask for help.
I have a cheap Ibanez guitar, a grg270b, that I connect to my V-Amp2 (through Input). A cable goes out of V-Amp (through Phones) and into my Soundblaster X-FI. I can record and everything, even play with the V-Amp settings. On my regular amp, it sounds decent. But when I attach it to the PC, the sound gets.. muffled. Distortion doesn't record very well either. I've been messing with the settings for a very long time, so I'm positive it can't be improved much (on the PC side).
Is there another way to record? A different setup? Should I better use MIDI, and how? Do I need to get extra equipment? Any advice is very welcome.
Thanks,
Petar
