i just got a v-amp 2, and pretty impressed with it compared to my zoom707ii.

Only problem is is that when recording (ive tried with goldwave & cubase and the same thing happens) it records part of it to the left, and part of it to the right, so when i want to pan it to either the left or right, only bits of the recording are played.

the setup is this:
guitar > input of v-amp2 > out of the 'R' line out > into the line in on my pc.
i also tried it in the 'L' line out but the same thing happend

is there anything im doing wrong? or could it be the cable im using?

thanks.

p.s. - this was never a problem with my zoom707ii

you need to access a different studio mode so that one siganl is sent all the way to one channell and the other chanell is dry.

i have read the manual and not figured it, ill read it again. what studio mode would i need?

thanks

i treid it, exactly the same, i emailed behriger and they said i needed a Y cable, which is what i thought at the beginig but got told different.

The people at behringer are retarded. I asked them a technical question on how to hook my V-ampl up to an effects loop and the guy was wrong. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that if you select the appropriate setting you can record "wet" on one channell and "dry" on the other. If your recording program is recording in stereo you need to change it to mono. Remember that duel mono is not stereo and hopefully that is not confussing you.

i'll try recording in mono, but the last time i did that, it only recorded the bits from either the left or right channel. i try again using studio 2
is the wet channel with effects and the dry without?

i also asked them if i can have a copy of the view sheet as i havn't recieved one, the said look at the attachment below, but there was no attachment that i could see, so if anyone could scan it and put it on the net so i can download it then that would be great.

eidt: i tried it on studio 2, with mono and it worked fine. thanks for helping :D

No problem. I'm glad that it worked. I like the V-amp pro but the suport lacks a little. I still don't understand why they havn't mde available a complete set of instructions on how to operate this thing.

I've been using the V-amp 2 for some time now and I have to say I like it a lot.
Try the software that can be downloaded for free. It's really handy to be able to store your presets to your hard disk or to tweak the settings on your screen (+ it's really cool to see those lights on your V-amp move when you're moving your mouse).

you can find the free software, as well as the manual etc. here:

i got the software ages before i got my v-amp to have a look at it. i havnt got a soundcard that supports midi, so i guess that will be my next purchase - along with a midi cable!

i saw the manual and otherthings before, but as i was looking for a view sheet i persumed it would be called a view sheet on the site, but i was wrong! its the additional info which i needed.

i am impressed with it compared to my zoom707ii, the sound is much better with the v-amp2 thru my pc than the zoom707ii.

Behringer is notorious for having manuals that are poorly organized, incomplete and/or badly cross-referenced. I have the V-Amp Pro (which I love) but sometimes figuring out how to use some of its features is like pulling your own teeth out!

Yeah its pisses me off when the Behringer instruction say please see the attached sheets for reference and the only thing you have is instructions in languages that you never heard of.
