V-amp 2 samples

I must say I am VERY impressed. Was that direct or thru an amp and cab?
 
Thats Direct! and thats with outout the midi editing..i dont have a midi interface anyways lol
 
how does it sound working as a regular preamp, ie into a power amp into speakers?

I just bought a behringer v-tone amp and I LOVE it. It has marshall hi gain tones that my main rig cant touch .

I am thinking of replacing my preamp with this one?
 
everytime i use it as a preamp and mic it it gets a really thin mid distortion sound..it could be my amp fender stage 100..you can try it...it just doesnt work well for me.
 
actully it works great for a preamp just when you mic it and record it to me it sucks.
 
do you turn off the cab sim when you use it as a preamp?

I am really impressed with the amp I bought. I can not believe the size of the sound.

I am looking into this. Do you think you could do a miced clip for me, playing some heavy stuff?

and if it sounds like your clips, for $169 it would be a no brainer for my rack setup

another thing I was thinking about was to use this amp I just bought as a tone generator for my main rig, using the headphone out. Darn, it is the best $60 I've EVER spent
 
How'd you record that direct? I have used the v-amp 2 before for direct stuff but it never sounded that dynamic. Did you do a lot of editing to the tracks or is this straight to mixdown after recording? I have since given up on getting a decent sound direct because I was never satisified. I play Melodic Death like In Flames, Dark Tranquility and others.
 
i just ran the v-amp 2 into my delta 44 sound card and i record it on to cooledit pro 2.0 then i just layerd the tracks and pan them 50 left 50 right then the lead guitar 100 left 100 right...hmm it could be my guitar its nothing special ESp Ltd F-50 using the bridge pick up. As for my v-amp 2 setings Bass about 4 or 5..treble about 7..mid 8 or 9 ..gain about 6 on the rectified hi gain and for the cabs on it put it on cab 15..i hope this helps you...i tried running my v-amp 2 into my fenderstage 100 amp through th return and miced it i wasnt real happy about the results hmm..dont use the v-amp like a pedal use the return on the amp..preamp to preamp aint good..(thats what i heard) hmmm my AIM sn is Rufiochris581 feel free to Instant messege me.

I have an 80's vintage Randall Combo and an all tube 4x12 half-stack and I use the V-amp2 recording direct all the time, most people have not noticed the difference between a well recorded track recorded with the V-AMP2 from a Plexi or Randall track.

I love the V-AMP2 for quick recording of riff ideas as well as demo type stuff. You can get some amazing tone out of it if you take long enough to figure out how to use it.
 
I've got the V-amp Pro and the Bass V-amp Pro. I recorded my first CD using the V-amp 1, and I think it sounds great. I've recently finished my 2nd CD using the V-amp Pro, and it sounds even better. I go straight into my Digi001, and i would not change a thing. My bro has the POD (the original), and I like the Behringer unit more... it is more trebly to my ear, and it has tons more gain than the older POD does. With the V-amp, you don't have to use any other effects.. it sounds great with the effects it already has.

As a matter of fact, the V-amp 1 is chiefly responsible for me getting into recording... it enabled me to do do what I wanted to do for years but couldn't.

I have a "real" Amp and Cabinet... and I've tried miking it, and I can't get it to sound as good as my V-amp.
 
hi mxpx,

I tried using the heaphone out/line out of my amp into my other rig. It sounded VERY thin so I discarded that idea.

I am thinking of getting something to boost my gain
 
your probally better off buying a v-amp and going direct...
