Using wallpaper for a drum wrap?

Use carpet tape and then roll the drums around your floor, two birds with one stone.

IMHO .... No.
A poorly applied wrap would be more detrimental to the shells resonance ... than bed liner spray.
It's been done before ..... and sounds fine. Durable too.
 
I have two words for you.

FUR!

OK that's only one word but fur would look cool on your drums.

Better yet, just nail small animals to your kit.

I'm guessing this is a heavy metal band, in which case it only counts if they're still alive when you nail them on (or if you bit the head off the bat immediately beforehand). Sorry.

I've seen shelf contact paper used to get a simulated woodgrain finish.
