Greetings all,
I have been using Home Studio 2002 for audio and have just started to 'get my feet wet' in using MIDI. I currently have an Evolution MK-361C keyboard as a controller taking advantage of the DXi synths that came with HS2002.

I would like to get an additional keyboard/controller so that I can play both simultaneously, for example, play patch A on one and an accompaniment using patch B on the other.

My question is, is this possible with HS2002?? And if so, how does one set it up?

FYI:
OS is Windows XP with Pentium IV 1.4GHz, 512 RAM,
soundcard is SBLive Audigy Platinum

Thanks,

You would need two (2) midi inputs into the computer.

Thanks for your suggestion. I got a MIDISPORT 2x2 to facilitate the two inputs from each keyboard controller.

To make a long story short, I took advantage of the SONAR 3 Holiday upgrade deal for registered users and used the info from this tip below to get the setup I was looking for:

http://cakewalk.com/Tips/Nov03_Multiple_MIDI_Controllers.asp

However, I'm still curious if this is possible to do in HS2002. When selecting the input for a MIDI track in SONAR 3, I have the option to choose either MIDI Omni and 16 channels from either InA or InB (from the Midisport).

HS2002 only gives MIDI Omni and the 16 channels; there is NO option to choose from InA or InB

To summarize, SONAR 3 does the job and I am up and running, but I'm still curious if HS2002 is capable of this and if it is, how does one configure HS2002 to do this??
