How should I use my MPC so that it's the Sequencer controlling my modules, etc., and Cakewalk is ONLY just the recorder. Or if anyone has a simular setup left me know how you accomplish your projects.

Setup your MPC to be the Master device, then setup Cake to be the slave device.
MPC MIDI OUT>CAKE MIDI IN
MPC ANALOGUE OUT>CAKE ANALOGUE IN
That should do the trick.
