Using the MOTU 1224's AES/EBU input

At the moment I'm using all the 8 analog inputs of my MOTU 1224.
I want to get some more extra channels, but the nOOb that I am...I'm not really specialized on how to get my AES/EBU connected.
So I'm looking for a proper a/d - d/a converter and a proper pre-amp to go with it for if possible under a 400-500 euro...
I don't know if it's possible or if I'm talking any crap..to some people..
I hope someone can help me on this..

Thanks. :o

do u need AES? Spidf would be more common and gets you the same amount of channels (2)

The MOTU1224 only has AES connections and Spidf as far as I know...

Help?! Nobody?
Anybody that can help me with this?

Is there any AES/EBU > Conversion possible and a relatively cheap pre-amp available or something?

Thanks....don't know what to do anymore...so if anybody can help...
