Using same effect settings on multiple songs

I have Sonar 1.3.1

Lets say I record a 7 song project totally cosistent. All drums done in one session, all guitars done in one session, same settings for everything going in, etc. and basically all the songs are virtually the same as far as their character.

Then lets say I mix one of these songs, apply different plugins and get it just the way I want it, and I want to apply these same exact effects to another song. Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to reopen all of of the plugins on the next song? I realize I could probably delete the events in each track and copy the events in the next song into the first one, but that would be a pain in the ass too. Is there a way create a template complete with certain plugins with certain settings on each track, then apply this template to a given project? Of course I realize the same settings that work for one song wont work for another, but it would provide a good starting point.

"Using same effect settings on multiple songs, meet "Templates".:)
"Templates, meet "Using same effect settings on multiple songs."
:D

I was thinking the same thing. Once their recorded, how do you apply the template? Export- inport the tracks?
The other way is to record into one several song project. But then you don't have bite sized files. (I run into bun problems)

Can you open two Sonars, copy and paste the tracks from one over to a blank template in the other?

Looks like you can. (One program, two projects.)

Now I'm quoting myself? That's creepy enough.
Can they do that?

Hmmm... how many of you read the "Tip of the Day"-thingie in Sonar?

Not many! :D

Just checked, and the answer to that problem was well documented there. ;)

Thanks. Didn't know about it.
Last time i went there was for Sonar FAQ about bun file problems...not much there.:(
