Hi,
I'm yet to use my DMP3 and want to use it! I'm using a Mackie 1604VLZ. Do you guys plug into the LINE on the mixer and keep the TRIM all the way down? I guess I could just go right into my soundcard but then I can't EQ it. This seems right, just havn't done it yet and want to make sure.

never the mic inputs. use line input on mackie and watch the mackie overload light.
peace.

If you use the line in then you are bypassing the on board pres (a good thing).

Personally I go straight into the box every time, less circuitry to travel through= better quality signal.

Rather than add eq on the way in why not try and get as good a sound as you can by playing around with the mic position? Then if something needs eq to sit a little better in the mix once everything's tracked you can do it at the mixing stage.

EQ adds noise (or specifically 'artifacts') to your audio so you should get in the habit of only using it when it's absolutely necessary.

Hope this helps
