Using midi to trigger DM-5

I bought a used Alesis DM-5 module and of course I got no manual. I can't download one because I am on webtv and can't download pdf files. Can anyone give me enough hints to get started using a Roland SPD-6 drumpad to trigger the DM-5 with midi? The SPD-6 only has two line outputs so I can't use it with the module that way. But it does have a midi out which I have used to trigger an old TR 707 and it worked fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got the D4, and the manual is EXTREMELY useful for setting up triggers. Do you mean to say you don't even have one friend or colleague who owns a computer who wouldn't download the manual for you??? :confused:
 
Well, as it turns out, I do now, but it wasn't you, was it? :)
