How can I copy and paste drum loops into ntrack so they are positioned one after the other? When I had Cakewalk Pro Audio 7 I could just copy the loop and paste it with the number of copies set to 100 or so.

I use Acid to arrange them in order, mixdown to a single stereo .wav file, then import that file into N-Track.....

I was sorta hoping for a cheaper solution than buying a new program.

Thanks anyway.

If you are going to buy another program don't get Acid, but Sonar. It will use acidized loops. And you can easily turn your own recordings into loops for reuse of smaller segments.

I did use n-tracks for a while, and I think it is a great program, particularly considering what you get for the money. But the ability to use loops was my main reason for changing to Sonar.

Ill try that. Thanks. Sonar is sorta expensive, even though I loved Cakewalk 7.

Import a loop. Select it. Ctrl-C to copy to clipboard. Ctrl-V to copy it to a new track. Ctrl-Shift-V to copy it to the same track (appended to the end of the last loop).

Hit Ctrl-Shift-V 20 times, and you've joined 21 loops together. Try messing with the GRID to get them to line up properly.

You're welcome. There's lots of shortcuts like that in N. Some are listed next to the menu item they activate; some aren't. But most are in the manual.
