Hi everybody..

A little advice on using DI-boxes for recording, i'm considering purchasing a BSS AR-133 mainly for recording bass and guitar, what I want to do is:

*When recording guitar I want to send the link signal to the amplifier, which is mic'ed up the traditional way, the balanced output I want to send either directly to my soundcard for ITB processing, reamping or send it to a Behringer V-amp.

*When recording bass I want to mic up the amp via the link connection on the BSS, and send the balanced out directly to the soundcard.

Which cables should I buy for these situations..? I guess I can use a standard instrument jack cable for the link output, but going balanced XLR to the 1/4" jack on my soundcard, this is supossed to be a balanced cable right..?

You just need one that has XLR on one end and TRS 1/4" on the other. If you don't want to make your own you could just buy one...I got a real nice Mogami one with Neutrik and Amphenol ends at Guitar Center for like $25.
