Ok this is going to be the dumbest question you may have heard all day, but when recording a band live how do you set up your head phones? I am pretty lo-fi, but the only thing i can even think of is to buy a cheap spliter and split the signal that way. I have a battery powered one that splits one into three, but There has to be a better way. I have a really old (1970's) Peavy 800 Stereo Mixer and I am running it to Pro-tools free. I think it sounds great and was cheap (the mixer was $50). But how should I set up my headphones for recording live? Sorry if that was confusing.

buy a behringer Ha4600 or Ha4700. they will support up to 4 mixes and upto 8 headphone outputs. they are pretty inexpensive. you can find them on ebay or you can go to the store and pick up the newest ha model, i believe it is a 4800. ive had my 4600 for years with no problems.

buy a multi-channel headphone amp. They are cheap and available pretty much anywhere.

Zook, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. I just needed something specific.
