Hey guys going to be doing a big recording over the weekend and only have 1 interface with 2 channels, my friend has offered to lend me his to get another 2 so we have 4 channels to work with ..

Can Logic use 2 interfaces at the same time?

Would appreciate any help ASAP

Thats probably going to be dependent on the driver as opposed to the recording software. What interfaces? Are they the same model? same brand?

There not the same brand or model, Ones a Mobile PREUSB and ones a Alesis IO2...

Yes Macs will let you create aggregate devices.

However be aware that each box has a separate crystal clock and unless you have some way to connect them together (wordclock) they will beat at slightly different rates and will eventually get out of sync with each other.

The BEST practice is to always get a bigger interface with more ins/outs.
And its best to stick with the same manufacturer so you're using one driver.
AND if you have multiple boxes to workclock them together.

(For example I use a Motu828mkII and I can add 2 more Motu units on the same firewire chain... if they are fully loaded this would give me more than 60 simlutaneous ins/outs. Since they all use the same drivers, they appear and ONE device to the computer.)
