Using -2 compressors by Julio De La Cruz

I dont think it is a good idea!
I think they conflict. so.. please somebody prove me wrong.
I'd hate to have to figure out wich one to get rid of.

Thanx.:)

Just apply each compressor to the most troublesome tracks in your mix. Start out conservative and work toward more compression. For those with only mid level equipment it's vital to add additional stages only when it accomplishes something very important.

For each channel

You get a TRS insert cable and run the insert out to the compressor and back through the same cable. What a concept!
This is information gleaned through my readings here and elsewhere. I don't own a hardware compressor. If I was to buy one today I'd get a pair of RNC's for US$179/channel.
Right now i just use the plug-in that came with Vegas Pro.

TRS= Tip,ring and sleeve. Your insert jack contains these components of which a dedicated "Y" cord is used to connect an effect to a single track. The top of the "Y" cord's plug(called send/recieve cable) is the "Tip" the area after the black part is the "Ring" and the long metal part is the "Sleeve".
Your board shuld have an input marked "INSERT"
