Are the same diaphragms used in B1 and T3 microphones?

Thanks

My understanding is that all the 'B' series Studio Projects mics use 3 micron diaphragms and the T3, along with the 'C' series, use 6 micron diaphragms.

I'm sure Alan Hyatt can elaborate on this.

Incidently Alan, without given away any trade secrets, if you take say a B1, apart from the diagphragm thickness, how does it differ from a C1? The same question could be asked of the B3 and C3.

Would a C1 fitted with a B1 capsule sound just like a B1 and vice-versa?

... Just Curious! ;)

no the electronics are different,
Well I kind of figured that but I was just waiting until Alan responds... which I have no doubt he will! ;)

Well you are correct about the thickness of the diaphragms, but no, using a C1 cap on a B1 will still not sound the same as a C1. The electronic design is differerent. Who know, it may sound better!!!

With all the diverse opinions on HR, I am sure you would get that as well..... :)
