USB MIDI Controller Footswitch

Hi, I was looking around for a USB foot switch so that I can hit record, stop and back in Adobe Audition without having to go to the PC. I saw some MIDI controller foot switches and was curious if this is what I'm looking for, or if this is for something else.

I basically want to assign the buttons on the controller to be keystrokes (like spacebar to play/stop and left arrow to go back on a track).

That is the item that I saw, so that you can get a better idea. Any info, or suggestions on a good USB foot switch you DO know of, if this isn't one, please let me know!

I believe that should cover what youre looking to do with it.
It says it comes with configuration software, so that should let you map it to whatever you want.

yes! I saw that on Amazon and it looked like just what I needed (as far as the use of it), but it's quite outside of my budget for a foot pedal Thank you for your input, although this MIDI foot switch is a little expensive, there's probably a cheaper one, as long as I know this is the thing I'm looking for.
