USB mic sounds like a chipmunk voice in Cakewalk?

Your replay sample rate is not the same as the source file. I don't have Cakewalk and I doubt you will have Samplitude? Audacity is pretty universally understood. Post a clip. (320kHz MP3 attachement please)

some people pay extra for that, it's not a bug, it's a feature :D
 
Jusfort? USB mic. Most of those are 16 bit and locked to 48kHz whereas most DAWs default to 44.1kHz.

Pretty sure that is the problem.
