O/S = XP Pro SP2 + P4 1.5Ghz + 512 RAM + SB Audigy 2 ZS soundcard

I am trying to get my Zoom G7 guitar processor to Record from the USB, but monitor via the SoundBlaster.
I am using REAPER, and the IN = Zoom USB, OUT = SB Audigy and ASIO4ALL
Note: if I record analog into the SB, all is fine, and only 3ms latency

With USB as IN, I see meter working, but levels appear to be wickedly high. I did not record.
Could it be a setting on the G7 itself
------ -10/+4 switch (which one ?)
------ the G7 output volume (at back) ... turn it down

Trying to set IN and OUT seems to be a pain, as it changed automatically on me, just checking the ASIO settings. Weird.
A) Is this a known issues with XP ... no mix-and-match of Audio devices

B) Could it be REAPER. I doubt it.

I have heard of people recording 8 tracks using 4 Soundblasters PCI, but has anyone done what I am doing ?

I am pretty sure I can monitor on the Zoom G7, but with the headphone jack, which I don't really want to do. I want to hear the tracks I've done + MIDI via VSTi to come out to my mixer from the SB to my receiver & speakers.

Any advice ? Resources ?

Why don"t you just Use the Zoom headphone Jack and connect it to your reciever and speakers?? (Make sure the Volume is low on the headphone output) that will let you use the Zoom to monitor through your speakers...

It is very hard to impossible to use one device for Recording and a seperate one for playback, unless you go into your device settings every time you want to do recording or playback and change the device setting, and this takes up to much time and is a hassle...If you had two of the same device it might be possible but two seperate interfaces will rarely play together this way...

Cheers
