USB/Firewire Recording interface with built in effects ?

hi all,

is there any interface with built in effects.

so i would be able to record the dry signal "no effects" while listening to the wet signal through my monitors with effects ?
 
Such a unit might also be marketed as an effects unit with a USB (or Firewire) connection....
 
Look at the Phonic Helix with Universal interface. Or EMU cards.
 
Many interfaces have on-board effects - the ability to route them one mix output for monitoring and dry to the DAW would be something you would probably have to really mess with to figure out.

What signal exactly to you want to hear with effects and why?
