Hi. I have a korg nanokeys and i want to not have to connect it to my computer to make it have sounds. It only has a USB out, so i can't just connect it through midi. I've heard that sound modules can take input from USB. However, in all the sound modules i've seen, the only purpose for the USB is to connect it to a computer, not to a controller. My question is, can you connect a USB controller to a sound module, and if you can, what's a good one to get? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any modules that you can use as you wish. As you've stated, the general purpose of USB is for computer control with software, etc. If you're thinking you want a new sound module, plan to get a new controller as well. Should be able to find a 25-key controller for $100ish...M-audio comes to mind. Not sure what Korg offers in this area.
