USB consol?

I was planning on getting an MAudio Audiophile and a Behringer 1202FX mixer as part of my home studio startup, but I noticed that there are other Behringer XENYX models that are in the same basic price range but use USB port connections. Now, the sound card in my machine right now is less than impressive. I'm correct in assuming that I'm still better off going the MAudio->1202 route, yes?

No suggestions? Here are the two I was looking at:

Option #1, to be used with MAudio Audiophlie

Option #2, plug and play

Go for the mixer->audiophile route because USB has latency issues. However, for the mixer, there are better mixers in your price range than the 1202. Try the Yamaha MG series. Hope this helps.

I agree, look at the yamaha mixers instead.
