Okay, so I wanted to get a USB audio interface that's good for recording keyboards. I know that plugging a keyboard into the interface would be the same as plugging in a guitar into the interface, but I don't play guitar. Anyway, I was looking around and realized that most came with software, which is great because I need new software. My question is: Which one is the best that I can get for under $150? I've already found plenty that seem good, but reviews seem to convince me otherwise.

Either I do that or...

I buy a nice software (I had my eye on Sonar Home Studio 7) and buy a USB audio interface by itself, except I can't find any that don't come with software(which I'm sure jacks up the price).

What in the heck should I do???

At $150 I recommend the Presonus Audiobox. Great little usb interface. It comes with Cubase (free version) but don't think you have to use the software it comes with! Look at Reaper- it is a downloadable program that is basically free. Google it.

Thanks guys, but I settled with a Lexicon Alpha, which is essentially the ssame as the Lambda without Phantom power.
