Just surfed on to the USR site, to check out some tape prices and saw that it started stocking new vinyl. Pretty interesting stuff:

I might be interested in buying one or two and dubbing it over to CD and 1/2 track in one playing then putting it away for the future.

On that same note I ran a cross a thread where people recorded to tape and then passed the tape from "member" to member so that each one could hear the differences in tape types and machines. Your tape would eventually make it home.

One could do the same with the records. Dub to 1/2 track and then pass the 1/2 track arouund to that you could decide which record to buy for yourself (besides the one you bought to get into the recording circle)

Cool! If they get more sundazed records like that Dylan one for $14 , that's a good deal. They usually go for about $20 and are from original analog masters. I'd like to buy some those other records too. I just want to know if they were mastered from a digital master or the analog masters before I buy.

That's a pretty awesome development, prices notwithstanding. Analog continues to fight like a Scotsman despite many announcements over the years of its impending death.

Yeah, Tim and I think you've picked up on an important point and that it def is an awesome development, especially considering it's 2008 and the dominance of digital. To complain about prices is, I think you'll agree, taking it all for granted, that it's still possible to buy new tape and vinyl. That was thought to be unheard of even a few years back.

I bought a few of those Dylan records last year straight from Sundazed. Awesome is all that I can say!

Yeah, it's def good to know if the others are from an analog master.
