us-1641 and windows 10

Interesting.. In two weeks 174 views and nobody says anything.. sigh. Actually what have you been looking for on this little thread :-) do you have the same question? So.. Tascam discontinued this product long ago.. really don't know why!? It serves me well with windows 8.1 and Cubase elements 8, but Microsoft is pushing theirs w10.. Does anybody know how to find out whether Tascam intends to publish fresh driver if product is discontinued? I can only assume if it works in 8 it will work in 10. But I don't have a 1641. I would also speculate that the US series use the same drivers. I have an 1800 that works with 10 and I am pretty sure the Us 16X08 uses many of the components that the 1800 and 1641 uses, therefore the same drivers, but this is all speculation.

I am pretty sure many on the board speculate as well, but can't answer the question. Hence, the views but no answer.
 
Unfortunately, a lot of the views come from internet search bots and not actual people. But some people have looked and if they don't respond, they don't have an answer.

You can just try it. Make an image of your C: drive and then load up win10 and your Tascam drivers. If it works, great. If not, reload the win8 image and forget about win10 until they have drivers for you.
 
Phew ........ I've just stuck ten on my main computer while away and forgot about the Tascam. Thank goodness for that.
