Hello to all,

-I cannot hear efects (like reverb, equalizers, etc) on SX on real time, but only after recording and playing the recorded track. I remember I could hear them in VST any time I selected an effect.

-I have a lapse of time on the VUmeters of almost one second, when I make a sound and when the signal appears on the VUmeter. This also happens wiht the stop key, plug-ins, etc.

Any ideas to overcome this two problems?

TXS a lot!

Go to "devices-multitrack" and select a smaller buffer size, that will take care of the latency.

To listen to fx in realtime you have to monitor through SX, I think you select that in the "devices->multitrack" window too.....

Thanks, Plexi.
When I selected asmaller buffer size on the Audiophile2492 sound card, the program collapsed, so I set it to 300 and something, not enough to solve the excessive delay.
By the other hand, I will take a look to monitor through SX, even though making combinations is painful for a newbie like me... If you have the same Sond Card, could you tell me some tip?

Hmm, my little brother has the 2496 soundcard, I`ll check his setup.I`ll see how it works.....
I use a LynxOne.

Well,I had no problem getting extremely low latency with the 2496 (1ms), and could hear all fx in realtime.....
You `ll have to close SX, go to "hardware settings" in the Delta audio panel, and set DMA buffer size to 64, press "done" , start SX and enjoy!

sorry, but the big latency is still there with a latency of 64 rates...

May I ask how you measure latency? Not trying to hijack the thread...just trying to learn from it.

I sould update the information. I change the VST Multitrack device setup, and the latency problem was solved. The ASIO driver I had before gave me that problem.
The latency time was displayed any time I selected a different buffer size on the Audiophile 2496 Sound Card Control Panel

Anyhow, the problem on monitoring plug-ins on real time still persists.
