Upgrading need help

hey guys i currently record in cool edit pro 2.0 i only gonna be recording vocals but i want to upgrade now to a betetr program , i want a program that has alot of effects i can use in my vocals ,
what do you guys recomend me to upgrade to before i go buy it this friday

Sonar comes with some decent "effects", and also a suite of very nice sounding dynamic processors (as DSP goes.....).

with respect aztec ...cool comes with a full complement of effects.
you just have to learn how to use them properly.
get some books on audio engineering, learn about natural room spaces ,
then use the natural spaces in conjunction with cools effects.
