I know.... SONAR you all say....but do I need it? ....Really?
Background:
I currently have the old Guitar Studio 2.0 S/W and need to upgrade .
I record blues/jazz guitar and never need multiple inputs. I 've upgraded my old M-Audio DMAN 16 bit audio card to an ECHO MIA Midi.
The two areas that I want to improve my recordings are, (1) signal-to- noise ratio (2) the drums. The Echo Mia takes care of the 'signal-to- noise' having 24/96 specs and balanced inputs and so # 2 - the drums are now the focus.
Guitar Tracks Pro ($99 upgrade)comes with a bunch of drum loops, - does SONAR (Studio - $199 upgrade) come with an equivalent bundle of drum loops? I see that SONAR has the TTS-1 DXi Roland module, - are the drums any good?
I don't have any external midi equipment, so I don't need the extensive midi capabilities of SONAR, right?
I can add Cakewalk smartloops($30), Drumatic ($49) or maybe SmartLoops PRO ($179) to GTPro.....
...so GTPro plus additional loops or SONAR? What do you recommend and WHY?
Thanks, in advance,
