Hey guys, finished up on my pedal board today. My set-up looks something like this:

Highway One Telecaster -> Boss CS 3 -> Boss SD 1 -> Boss SD 2 -> Dunlop Original Crybaby -> Boss GE 7 -> Boss PH 3 -> Boss AC 2 -> Boss FV 50 -> Boss CH 1 -> Boss DD 3 -> Marshall AVT 50.

Obviously I don't use all the pedals at once; but I've been trying to go with The DS 2 and wah, for obvious tonal leanings. Problem is, I get a huge problems with Feedback....dependign on the settings, it ranges from an annoying hiss to uncontrollable shriek. Anybody else having this problem with single coils? Its fine with my amp gain way down but thats just not an option for so many reasons.

Its kind of odd having a Crybaby pedal in the middle of all those other effects, it may be overloading it with weird overtones from the other pedals before it. Whenever I have used a crybaby I put it 1st in line before any others. I also always use a Ernie Ball volume pedal to raise the volume for leads and am totally hooked on the thing.
I use several Boss effects as well, a Harmonist, a tremolo-older model, and a DD-6 digital delay plus a digitech delay solely for slapbacks also into a AVT-50 or a Fender Deluxe 85. Usually a Strat or Tele, sometimes the Les Paul comes out to play.
You may have a combination of effects that don't like to work together harmonically, try a few different combinations maybe.

cheers i was gonna put the wah after the distortion because thats the doen thing. Ill try it like you said though, thanks mate.

I have always put the wah first. I use all warblers (flanger chorus phase shifter) before the fuzztones and delay/reverb after.

I used to put a compressor at the front of the signal chain, but I don't use one anymore. My wireless, kinda acts like one as it is.

yeah, that's just the way it is with Single Coils. Gain is not a Single Coils best friend. Single Coils can sound just excellent, but the line is lower than with Humbuckers.
