Unbalanced --> Balanced

I was just wondering if there was a way to modify an effects units inputs and outputs and change them from unbalanced to balanced. I have an old unbalanced unit i want to use in a balanced signal path. Anyone know how (if its possible)

Ebtech makes a few transformer-based devices... you could also use a DI box.

While this will not change an unbalanced unit, you can come out of the unbalanced unit into another unit that is both balanced and unbalanced. You can go into the unbalanced input, and then balance it out from there. Its and old trick, but it works.
