Unable to Monitor With Behringer Mixer

Hi everyone! I just received my Xenyx Q502USB in the mail and I am having trouble setting it up. I am trying vocal onto the computer while playing an instrumental track from the computer. I want to record while simultaneously listening to instrumental fed from computer and my voice being recorded at that time. I have noticed when I record it creates a latency issue and the track bleeds onto the next. It is currently recording music and my voice on one track, but I want voice only while monitoring through the phones. IS there an easy way to fix this? Please help!!

First be sure you're using the proper driver, which can be found near the bottom of this page: Behringer: XENYX Q502USB

Then switch to that driver in the audio software you're using.

The "To Phones" button should be in and the "To Main Mix" button should be out.
 
First, your backing track(s) should be imported into your DAW.
You should have the 'arm' or 'record' button selected in your DAW, and the options/preferences for input pointing to the Behr.
The USB/2-Track button 'to phones' should be pushed in, not the 'to main mix'.

The info offered here should get you on the right track. You will need at least 2 tracks in your DAW; one that contains your prerecorded stuff, and a blank one that you will record your vocals into. Arm the blank one, but make sure your settings are such in the DAW that you can hear the other track during playback. For the latency issues, adjust your latency/buffer settings in your DAW downwards, to see what works for you and your equipment. Also select the Q502 as the source of your signal for the armed, blank track, as opposed to something else that might include your backing tracks, such as Master.
