Hi everyone,

First of all i would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I'm quit new to Cubase 5 and i'm trying to export the songs from my Cubase 5 projects into MP3 or WAV file formats without success.

Accordingly to the instructions i set up the left and right locators, choose all the tracks, on the "Export Audio Mixdown" window i choose to export the Stereo Out channel only so it gets all the tracks mixed into one and also tick the "Real Time Export" option having previously activated the Control Room Mixer.

When the file has been exported to the MP3 or to WAV file format and i try to open it, any media player such as Windows Media Player returns me the following error message: "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file." which prevents me to be able to hear the final result.

It seems that the file is invalid.

Has anyone experienced the same? Does anyone knows why is this happening and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance for your precious help and hope that somebody can help me on that one since i would really like to have my final work converted into one of these file formats: MP3 or WAV.

Cheers,

rmsmartinho

I'm wondering if you are using Windows XP. If you are, be sure you save the wave file as 16bit. I think WinXP media player chokes on 24bit. If not, then put up some screenshotws of the Export dialog.

As a side note, the MP3 option is a usually a trial period and you only get about 20 or 30 MP3 exports then you have to buy the software patch. Once it expires, there are free wav to mp3 converters on the internet that you can download insteasd of spending $16 for a patch.
