recently i just got a cubase program that came with my hercules firewire. im having some serious isssues tho. i got it up and running i just cant get the freaking thing to play audio while im recording even with the monitor button i turned on and my outputs are correct. it will however play audio when im just playing it back without the monitor button on.

there is a monitor button for each track. the button toggles between the incoming signal of the input assigned to the track and the audio file contained in the track. if the monitor button is on, you won't hear the audio contained in the track. it sounds like you're trying to record two audio files on the same track. create a new track and turn it's monitor button on. after that, rtfm.
