I'm currently recording guitars, electric/acoustic, bass, using SM57/SM58 mics, going into a UB502 into Audiophile 2496. It sounds ok, but i've noticed some noise that i'd like to clean up. Noise seems to come from UB502. With a couple of hundred to spend, would the DMP3 produce a better quieter recording using the same mics/card compared to the UB502 mixer? If yes, what would be a much better upgrade for $200 or $300. I don't mind spending a bit more to get something with better quality, flexibility. UB502 also only has one xlr input, can't use two mics, no phantom power, etc. Not very good. I'd like some flexibility in case i want to use better or 2 mics.
