Ua 2-610

anyone have any expirience with the universal audio 2-610 dual mic pre? thinking of getting one of these bad boys..

I love the UA preamps. They aren't my go to's though either. I love the aggresive character that they offer. The high end can certainly get a little harsh with some sources, but the lows and low mids are big and round. I personally love the UA stuff on kick, snare, and heavy electric guitars, and even some basses. Not particularly my favorite on vocals unless I am using a dynamic mic.

iyo, what would be a good stereo preamp to use for drum overheads, vocals, general stereo recording? should i go with something like millenia media HV-3's?

I'm not familiar with the Millenia.
I use a stereo pair of Brent Averill 1272's on oh's and they sound amazing.
