Hey guys... So, I am looking for the opitmal layout for my bedroom. I attached a very rough floorplan of the room (it is very rough, but you can get the idea). Its kind of a weird room, and I can't do anythng to change that - no resources to tear down/put up walls, etc.

So, how would you guys set it up? I put in a tenative plan for what I thought I should do, but that is just informed from what I have read. I really don't know the best way to set this room up. I tried it with everything going the other way, but the reflection points were way off and it sounded weird. I can and, potentially, will treat it when I get some money... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i would anchor it all in at the bottom left nook and put up curtains/padding. isolation-style.

Yeah, I would love to do it that way, but the entrance to the room is in that corner and it honestly isn't big enough for all my stuff unless I'm okay with not being able to open the door... and it would really cut off the rest of the room. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Your desk should be up at the top of the picture, with the speakers shooting down the length of the room. ideally, you should be 1/3 of the distance into the room, but that often takes away too much space, so do it if you can. But if you can't, then at least move the desk as far away from the wall as you comfortable can.

Sorry, but that would be the worst possible idea, even with out the doorway being an issue. RAMI has the right advice.

Well, sh**. I didn't think anybody responded to this. I wish I wouldn't have set up everything already.

Check out these vids.

I'm at work right now and can't watch these, but I will check them out when I get home. I wish I would have found this earlier. My fault. Well, it looks like I'm going to have to start over again. I just figured that the reflections off the back wall were more important that the front... just shows how much of a noob I still am :)

Those videos are great! That seems to make things a little easier... I mean I always knew I was going to have to treat the room, but the exact layout was made much clearer through watching some of those videos. Thanks for the tip!
