two soundcards and two sets of speakers on one computer?

I want to setup one computer for music and for gaming/general use. I would have one harddrive for music, the other for general use. the problem is, i would need the delta 44 for music, with monitoring speakers hooked up. AND i would need a sb audigy with my klipsch 4.1 multimedia speakers hooked up. The trouble is i don't know how i would work this. I need the 4.1's for general music listening, and for games, etc.. i use my computer as as stereo, and i listen to music on it probably about 5 hours a day, i just alwys have music playing. So i would need to beabel to play music and games through the sblive and the klispch 4.1's, but also use the delta card and the monitors for when im making music. Ive been told that i can specify what sound card the audio programs use, so i have that figured out, i can just tell them to use the delta. and apparantly games will automatically use the sb card, so that MIGHT be solved. But how would i tell the comptuer which card to use for general use? like, when im just doing stuff in the computer, the main output. I wouldn't want sound playing out of both sets of speakers and soundcards at once, and it seems like windows/other programs in windows like winamp, would only use one card. So how can i deal with this? i know someone must have this same setup going. please help, thanks!

Would i have to go into the multimedia settings of windows and tell it which card to use? And when i want to do music stuff, just switch to the delta, and when i want to do gaming/music listening, switch to the sb card? That would be a pain in the ass, but less irritating than having to buy a whole new computer
 
Why couldn't you use the Delta for everything?

Go buy a simple A/B speaker switch from Radio Shack (shudder), and A/B select which speakers you want to use.

Would the delta support a 4.1 setup, with two front and two rear speakerS? And would it have all the extra things for games?

oh, sorry. It will work fine. Installation is sometimes tricky because the cards need their own IRQ. I was having problems with my Delta when I installed it. I completely uninstalled my SB and got the delta up and running. Then I reinstalled the SB and both have worked fine ever since.

The SB is my default playback source for Windows and in my audio programs I choose the Delta in the preferences.

Ahh, ok i see, that should definatly work. so anything you play in the audio programs comes out of the monitors, and everything else comes out the normal speakers... ok. I was thinking of maybe just doing a dual boot, one hard drive with say, win2k and all audio, with just the delta being used. And the other drive with winxp, and the sb card being used. But i think i understnad my options now. im glad to hear it should work! IF i can pawn my older gear (only a year old), i can probably save about 2200 dollars from this decision, with no loss.
