The piano intro of "False Flag Show" was recorded last summer, and I spent many hours with this tune, experimenting different kind of approaches and here's what came up. Maybe this ain't the last mix, maybe it is (now that I listen with fresh ears, there's too much compression..dang). The lyrics were influenced heavily by Alex Jones' radio show and his films.. Musically something between power pop, hard rock, progressive rock ... or something else.
"Marshall" is dedicated to Marshall Applewhite, the cult leader of "Heaven's Gate" wackos who believed they can live again on the Hale-Bopp comet if they kill themselves. And they did. The song itself just came after experimenting with guitar sounds. Drums, bass and guitars took about 10 minutes to compose and record. I didn't even bother to play better solos, because the crappy ones had "the feel". After that I dug up the old lyrics I wrote near 10 years ago, sang the whole crap and add some keyboards. Retro rock, very 1960's/1970's.
