1) On the Behringer MX2004 A how many tracks can you record at once? Does it have 8 outs on the mono channels, so if you had a soundcard that can record 8, you can record 8 separate tracks at once?
2) The out on the Soundcraft say they are S/PDIF. What exactly does this mean?
you can get four separate post fader tracks on the mx2004. each of the mono channels has a channel insert (trs) which can be used to send a signal pre-fader. this means the only part of the board your signal is running through is the preamp, so no e.q. or fader.... in the mx2004a manual, the guys at behringer have put in a nice little diagram to show you how to rig up some leads to use as direct outs from the inserts
as far as q2 goes, s/pdif stands for sony phillips digital interface (i think) but i'll be buggered if i know what it does!
