For your acoustic treatment, you will want to use this. Give them a phone or email and say that you want enough for 4 8'x2' bass traps at 4". See how much it is then post on here, and I'll tell you if it's reasonable.

Btw does your room only hav 4 corners? Could you post a few pics or draw a plan of your room. And i'll try to advise you what to do.

No, I dont have real pics of the basement because its being worked on right now. It is in the process of being finished, because right now its just a stone basement. The framing was finished yesterday, so its probably going to be about a month until its finished. I'll make a model of it in paint...

Be quick, cause it's 23.10 and i have college in the morning.

Thats what im thinking of doing. Its not final, neither is the rug and wall colors. Do you have a better idea for a equitment layout?

Would you be able to use the whole room or just the area where you have placed the equipment?

yes i have a better idea. where you mix sould be centred in the room against a wall.

Yup, that whole room is usable. Not sure of the demensions, but its a pretty big room, what do you mean install a curtain, could you show me a pic of what you mean with the "where you mix sould be centred in the room against a wall".

Ok, I'm in no way educated in acoustics or even fully know what I'm talking about, but this is what I'd do.

The line between areas is where the curtain would go.

Alright, thanks. We'll try it out once we get all of our recording gear...

Cool. I think someone said that you can get 3 batts of rigid fiberglass for $60. You'd need 6, so that's $120 plus wood and cloth. BUT they said mineral wool is cheaper and it does basically the same job. So it might be $100 plus wood and cloth, but it will make a huge difference to your room and your recordings will be MUCH better mixed, and recorded.
