Hi guys,
I want to turn my bedroom into a little recording spot, I still want to keep this room as my bedroom as well so I'm if this will be viable at all.
Next problem is I have a bit of a unique room shape, I was just wondering if it is worth even trying to use the room with the room shape, I will attach a picture.

Any advice on if this would work at all and if it would, where would I put the setup? I was hoping it could go on the desk, but I see some major issue with that.

Also what are the common problems when using a bedroom to record? RoomPIC.webp

You should put your desk in front of the window on the right side of the drawing, with the speakers pointing toward the left. Then put the bed at the other end where the desk is now. That will be much better than the layout you show. More here:

Definitely agree with Ethan above. Where is the door to enter/exit the room?

Thanks for advice,
@ Ehan The desk is built in, so I would need to go buy a new desk for that idea, (which is not a issue) thats why it is a odd room shape because the desk goes in about 1 meter making the room uneven.

@GIK The door is top left of the picture.

Every obstacle in your room points to having the desk against the window, definitely.

Lots of good advice here. You might want to check out this article as well. It could show you some tips on how to find problem areas in your room and how to quick figure out if you can fix them or not.

Here is some more of the same that might help as well.

^^^ FYI, nodes and anti-nodes are not "physcoacoustic" (or psychoacoustic either).
