Tube amps, Iso-boxes and Ventilation

I have a homemade isolaiton box for my amp that is not perfectly air-tight. I have my solid state amp in there and have the amp on at 2-3-4 hours at a time. I open the thing up every so often. Have never had any problems

But now with a tube amp, is there more need for ventilation?

my enclosure is for sound control since I'm playing in an apartment, so I don't want to make air holes or vents- or do I have to?

Also, I plan on changing the setup to have just a lone speaker in the enclosure without the amp itself. I know this is most desirable. But in the short term, if I get a battery-operated fan and open the box more often to get air in there, will my tube amp be safe from overheating or damage?

Can't you just drill a 1/2" or so hole in the top of the box and run the speaker cable through the whole? Or are you talking about a combo amp?

thanks Adam- yeah I'm talking about a combo-

but since the time I wrote the question and now, I got a 1x12 to put in the isolation box and my combo amp powers the speaker from outside , so all is well now
