Hello!!!
I am currently trying to record my mixes into my computer and its not working!!
Basically i have a connection of two phonos, running from my record outputs on my mixer to small mic jack into my sony vaio laptop. (this is prob the problem!) im using sony sound forge 7.0 and wavelab programs for the recording bu im having major problems.
i have adjusted my volumes etc in control panel etc on my comp, and when i go into the recording option in these programs 1. i can hear through headphones what is being played on my decks (through mixer) yet i cannot have any bass or middle or treble volumes up at all as its creating PURE DISTORTION AHHH! this ob means i cannot create a mix as i cannot control the eqs on the mixer. also no wave output its being shown in the graphs of the program its just a flat line but yet i can hear it through the headphones.
Is this because i am using the mic input with an internal sound card (ms mapper)?????? i dont know much about sound cards so i presume i need an external one for my laptop?
if i do get one, which will ob contain a proper line in rather than mic input will i be then able to acuratly record exactly what im mixing so i can change the eqs etc??? someone please help as im in desperate need of recording.
Thankyou xx
