Hi all,
I am using my PC to sequence tracks with various programs with an MOTU 828 mkII as the sound card.
The 828 has s/pdif as does the 1680. I can't keep the 1680 locked in at 48kHz(if that makes any sense). I want use the 8analog inputs of the 828 and out of the 1680 s/pdif into the 828 s/pdif. I can give up 2 analog ins of the 828 and come out of the 1680 via it's master outs and be ok but is this the only way?
FYI{i am trying to have a 16 chan digital mixer setup}

Why can't you get the 1680 to lock with the computer? I've done it hundreds of times.

Make sure you are using the same framerate.

I'm tryin...

I'm trying to find the "frame rate" function on the MOTU 828.

And that would beeeeee?...

My 1680 i suppose?...
I am trying to find it on the 1680 as well
any help?

The Daw I was refering to was the computer program you are dumping this into.

On the 1680, the frame rate should be on one of the utility pages (I think global, but it has been a long time) It should be where you set up the midi sync parameters.

You have to set up the computer program the same way or they won't talk to each other.

Thanks "FAR"......

Foundout,
What the problemb was :p
I just started using my PC for recording as i was using the 1680 for years.
Anyways i had to create "Song New" from the SONG page and set sample rate on page and that tok care of "THAT" problemb just fine. :p
It looks like i am having to learn the 1680 allover again

Thanks again
