That's some beautiful music, there Tim.

I don't know man. Call me weird, but I listened to the processed file and then the original raw file...And I have to say I MUCH prefer the raw file. Adding "distance" makes it sound.......um........distant. But not in a good way to me. Anyway, just my opinion. I thought the original raw file had a perfect blend of distance and intTIMacy :D

Nakatira – do you remember what the general settings were on the wet track you used… predelay, decay time, and the like?

Bigbubba -
like a spanish movie soundtrack like the opening creds or something. Really really sounds like it's telling a story
Thanks! This tune always reminds me of a Mexican vocal/guitar duo I knew back east who worked in a local restaurant. They had a huge repertoire of traditional Mex folk songs. It was one of those situations where the quality of the performing was WAY better than most of the audience had any idea of… they just went from table to table each night but were real artists. Anyway I always think of them when I play this tune since it sounds kind of like a sentimental Mexican song.

Here's my experiment
Hey That’s excellent… subtle tone and it pulls the instrument back nicely. Please give all the details… processors, decay times, etc.

Rami – Thanks man for having a listen!

Wow, thats some great playing there Timbo.. I like the room effect you're going after as well.

Thanks Space. I'm glad I put this up because I'm getting a lot of helpful ideas from the versions posted.

Thanks bigbubba. Excellent info - just what I'm looking for. What's the Sony processing suite called?

EDIT: I figured it out... must be Sound Forge.

Well, I use Acid Pro 4. But Sound Forge and Acid both install the same plug-ins. I have both. But Acid is my multi-track software. :)

In the smooth/enhance plug-in I don't know what it really does but it sounded good at the given setting. :)

Also in the mutiband processor, only the first band is active. All others are bypassed. :)
