Let me start off by saying I'm new here (so Hi
), new to computer recording, new to home recording and have a brand new Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 with Adobe Audition 3.0 to record.
I've just been doing some tests with it on my laptop (for now) to get used to it (while I wait for 64-bit drivers) and I'm noticing that I'm only getting a mono signal at the Audition side. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not.
At the mixer end I just tested plugging my guitar straight into the line 1 jack. I plugged in my headphones to the mixer headphones jack and I hear both left and right, however when I record a track in Audition, I see a stereo track, but only one side recorded. The other side is just blank with no waveform.
I can't tell if plugging the headphones into the mixer is an accurate way to tell if the mixer is sending in stereo. I expect it would be, but then that would suggest something is not configured properly on the Audition side.
Any idea what that would be?
