4033 is the only way to go out of all of them...
Go to my websites mp3 page and download a couple of the songs by The Heavy Brothers. I used a AT 4033 on trumpet and trombone, and a EV RE-27 on the sax. The horns are very fat and cut through the mix just fine.
I really don't see you needing the two AT 4033's 5 feet from the section. If you set up the horns in a triangle, with around 10 feet apart from each other, with the bone and pet mics about a foot from the bell like John said, you should get plenty of ambiance, as well as a nice direct sound. Of course, the sax mic should be fairly close, expecially with a 421 because that mic has a little hyped 4KHz thing going on, and not the biggest low end I have ever heard. I think the RE 20 or 27 is much better suited for sax then the 421, but that is a preference. Actually, I have heard great results tracking a sax with an Audix OM 5!
